Traxxas has just unveiled a very sexy, officially licensed Ford GT. The RTR Ford GT will feature a new Dual-Bellcrank steering system and a new 4-Tec 2.0 chassis, which is designed to optimize handling and sharp cornering. The Traxxas exclusive body mounts will allow for the easy install of 190mm or 200mm body styles. The Ford GT will also include Traxxas favourites such as Traxxas Stability Management and Waterproof Electronics. The Shaft-Driven All Wheel Drive Ford GT will be powered by the Titan 12T Motor and the XL-5 Electronic Speed Control. Look for it in Black, Red and Blue at a price of around $300 in March 2017 when it is expected to be released.

This is one sweet looking ride. I don’t even mind the brushed motor. It will keep the cost down and it is an easy upgrade with a brushless system that you may have laying around. I consider this and affordable alternative to the X0-1. Sure you give up some speed to the X0-1, but are you really doing 100mph all the time? I think this is a nice compromise and gives you a great looking On-Road car that you can set up to your own taste, without breaking the bank.
This scratch built RC is not only stylish, but once they cut into the car, it also looks delicious. This fully functioning RC Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is actually a cake from Angie Scott Cakes in the U.K.
I am not sure it is a good idea to let me know that RC’s and Baking can be combined.
RPM has announced their latest product, the “No Clip” Body Mount System for the Traxxas Slash 2wd & 4wd. The new system completely eliminates the use of body clips, it adds scale realism, the mock radiator fans on the back of the body now double as a body lock. The new system also gives you adjustable body height. The kit comes with everything you need to install. It should be noted that the system doesn’t work with Traxxas on board audio system or the Nitro Slash.
No word on when these will be available, but the manufacturer suggested retail price is $27.95. 2wd details can be found using part #70860 and 4wd details can be found using part# 70920

Something like this takes me back to my youth. I could see me owning one of these for all of the fun as well as the nostalgia.
It has been awhile, but we are back with a Featured Track. The Riverfront RC Speedway is located in Fort Dodge Iowa. The asphalt track is built on a 125ft x 75ft plot and features a 5ft high drivers stand that is 43ft long. They run 1/10 and 1/8 scale vehicles and have a fully built computerized timing system. They are open Monday to Friday from 11 to 5, Saturday and Sunday 11 to 3.
Membership prices are structured as follows.
Membership: Youth (Monthly) $30.00, Adults (Monthly) $40.00, Family of 4 (Monthly) $45.00 & $3 for each additional youth.
Check out the Sprint cars in action. This place looks like a crazy good time. I have never raced on asphalt, but it is something that I must try.
If your in the area, make sure you check out Riverfront RC Speedway, if you are heading there from out of town, try to co-ordinate your trip with Shellabration. Shellabration is an annual rock concert held in late July/early August at the Oleson Park Music Pavilion, featuring nationally touring rock groups. It has been referred to as “The Heart of Rock and Roll”
