Boom Racing has released a bunch of Aluminum upgrades for the ECX Torment, Circuit, and Ruckus. Some of the upgrades include Steering Blocks, Hub Carriers and A-Arms. To see all of the parts, check out AsiaTees.
FWIW, If you aren’t familiar with AsiaTees, I made 2 separate orders from AsiaTees this year, both times I used PayPal and I haven’t had any issues.
Well I finally got to test the GPM Racing MP9 shocks out at the track. First off before I tested the car I noticed that the shocks were over dampened for our tracks here, so I went down to 35wt in the front and 30wt rear, also noticed on my MP7.5 that the front shocks were binding against the front drive shafts so I modified the mount in the arms by taking material out so I could shift the shocks forward and add a spacer to clear the drive shafts.
Now on to testing. Well I have to say I am impressed with how they transformed the handling of my buggy. It jumped well and more importantly went through the bumps much smother. I shaved off at least 2 or three seconds a lap off my regular time and was able to keep the owner of the track that I was testing at within striking distance were as before he was handing me my butt. I did notice as the night wore on that the shocks were breaking in, and now I think I may need to go up a little in the weight to add some dampening back in.
So If you don’t want to spend $100 on a new set of shocks, go over to http://www.asiatees.com/ and check them out.
