Team Losi Racing announce a new bell crank steering system for the TLR 22, 22 2.0, 22T, or 22SCT. The new system, which is already better than the old straight rack style, has reduced Ackermann geometry of the bellcrank steering making the vehicle less aggressive off-centre while adding better low speed steering at the same time. Look for a August release and a MSRP of $33.24 Part # TLR231037.

My most recent purchase from The Toyz has arrived, I picked up a servo for my Losi Micro SCT. I also wanted to try a couple of body clip options, the Rubber Pull Bent Body Clips and the Silicon Body Clip Leash, but what I was really after was the Hot Racing Carbon Fiber Graphite Battery Hold Down. The Hold Down is sold for the TLR 22 22T 22SCT line, and I have found that it also fits the Pro-Line Pro-2 LCG Chassis. I figured I would pick up another one and try it out on the Team Associated B4.2, because the stock Battery Hold Down is a bit of a pain. I prefer the Hot Racing Battery Hold compared to the JConcepts version, simply because I find the thumbs screws to be beefier and easier to work, although I do perfer the size of the JConcepts Hold Down itself. This year my winter project is converting a Traxxas Slash 4×4 into a LCG Slash 4×4 Buggy. This is nothing new and has been done many times before under various names such as BackSlash or Pro8 Conversion. I had an extra Slash 4×4 which wasn’t being used, so I figured this project would be ideal. I like this project because it will require me to fabricate some of my own parts. I could have bought the newly released STRC Conversion Kit and bolted everything together, but I like a challenge and spending that money on a kit would have taken all the fun away from me. You have already seen part of the build in the posts M.I.P. Traxxas Slash 4×4 17mm Hex Adapter Kit and M.I.P. Race Duty CVD’s Slash 4×4: Initial Impressions. Now on to the next part of the build, the Wing.
I started with the back end, because I was excited to see the wing in place. I removed the stock Rear Bumper and Bulkhead and installed a Traxxas Rally Rear Bulkhead (Part# TRA7429). I decided to look to Losi for a wing and came up with a Team Losi Racing 8IGHT 3.0 Wing (Part# TLR240001) and a Losi Wing Mount (Part# LOSA4435). The Wing Mount has four mounting points and the bottom of the mount can actually be bolted through to the stock Diff housing, using longer bolts (18mm). In order to properly secure the top mounting points of the Wing Mount to the Shock Tower, I needed to make my first part. Continue Reading
TLR Tuning Kit: Losi 5IVE-T.
Team Losi Racing announced the soon to be released Tuning kit for the Losi 5IVE-T, back in October. At the time, the Kit seemed to offer more questions than answers. TLR has released a video with in-depth explanation/guide of the tuning kit. The kit is currently now scheduled for a early December release and could set you back about $549.99.
Complete kit details can be found HERE on the TLR Blog.
