Located in New Zealand, this weeks Featured Track is the Blenheim Radio Control Car Club. After taking 11 months to build, the track opened its doors on July 11, 2015. Getting around the 850 foot track takes approximately 33 seconds. This track is big enough to accommodate 1/8 scale, 1/10 scale cars and trucks both nitro and electric and they currently have a 1/5th scale track under construction. The pit area features 20 tables and each table has access to an air compressor line for cleaning of your vehicles. The drivers stand is approximately 30ft long which gives drivers plenty of room. Other features at the track in a MyLpas scoring system, a Café, toilet facilities and for those of us of age, the facility will even sell you a beer.
No doubt this looks like the place to be if you are a RC enthusiast in New Zealand, heck this place looks like it may even be worth a trip to New Zealand. If you go in February, make sure you take in the Blues, Brews and BBQ’s Festival also, since your in New Zealand, make the trip to check out the Waitomo Caves, you won’t be disappointed.
