This week we are off to Trencin, Slovakia for this weeks Featured Track Hudy Racing Arena. The Hudy name is very well known in the RC community around the world, from XRAY to their relationship with Serpent RC not to mention the countless tools and parts that carry the Hudy name. The Hudy Racing Arena is the world’s largest RC car racing facility, the purpose built facility boast a size of approx. 25000m2 (270 000 sqft). It has four different tracks, a large outdoor 1/10 to 1/8 on-road asphalt track, a indoor carpet 1/10 electric touring car track, a indoor asphalt 1/10 electric touring car track and a indoor carpet 1/10 off-road track. They have a permanent pit area for 70 drivers and another 150 drivers can be housed in a temporary pit. The facility has free Wi-Fi, 15 large LCD & plasma screens for live race results and so much more. I wouldn’t be doing my due diligence if I didn’t metion the fact that they also offer Premium Slovak drafted beer.
On April 26, the Hudy Racing Arena will be hosting the Vintage Tour 1/8 on-road series. The Vintage Tour is a throw back to a time when drivers made their own cars. This type of racing is bound to produce a lot of excitement and some good memories for the
older not young generation.
This is truly an impressive facility and it is nice to see where my money went when I bought a Hudy Wheel Nut Tool.
