We got a little more media attention today. Global News came out to Sackville last Friday and Julia Wong did a story on us (When I say us I mean the RC community) and our desire for a dedicated RC area. There were not shortage of nerves as we made our TV debut, nobody wanted to go walk and flip their truck back over on camera. Julia did a great job with us knuckleheads, putting us at ease and helping us get the story out. Thank you Julia
Now lets do some housekeeping.
First of all, we owe HRM Councillor Steve Craig an apology. Being very new to the spotlight, when we agreed to do the interview we didn’t even consider that he would become part of the story. In hindsight, we see that it was only logical that he be included. We are sorry that we didn’t give you a heads up and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I will say, in all of our dealings with Councillor Craig he has been a stand up guy and we appreciate his time and effort.
Second, HRM residents don’t forget to call 311 the HRM Info Line and ask for a dedicated RC area/facility for HRM.
Here is Julia’s story. HRM staff looking into possibility of RC track.
If you happen to be doing nothing tonight at 11pm ast you may be able to see it on the Global News Final.
