Here is the second simple upgrade in my series. This time we are going to install stiffer springs since the ones on the torment are to soft, but keep in mind I am installing heavy blue springs as the track I run on is a smother surface with some bigger jumps, if the track were rougher I would go with the medium spring.
First- we must remove the shock, as you see in the pictures there is a bolt and nut on the top and just a bolt on the bottom.
Second- we need to pull back the spring then the spring retainer, this will alow you to slide off the retainer first then the spring as seen in the pictures below.
Third- slide the new spring on, then spring retainer allowing the spring to seat onto the retainer as seen below.
Last- just remount the shock back on the truck and your done.
In the next segment we will look at changing the oil in your shock for increased dampening.
